SMOY Boosters is a group of parishioners dedicated to supporting parish community athletics. The Boosters raise money for these activities through member dues and by staging social events throughout the year, including events such as; Pig Roast, Spaghetti Dinner, and the Golf Outing.
The Boosters also assist in setting up the Festival. The volunteers work a few hours each evening the week before the Festival, running wire, setting up the stage, assembling booths, and other tasks.
Currently, all Parish athletics - both youth and adult - are sponsored and supported by the Boosters, including T-Ball, softball and basketball teams. As our parish continues to grow, the number and types of teams will also grow.
The Boosters sponsor several athletic teams for parish children in various sports. At this time, teams are sponsored in:
- Boys and girls T-Ball - grades K-1
- Boys and girls Baseball/softball - grades 2-8
- Boys and girls Basketball - grades 3-8
- Boys and girls Track - grades 1-8
- Boys and girls Volleyball - grades 3-8
There is a need for coaches in all these sports! All parishioners are welcome to help out or to sign up for any of these programs.
